Handmade items are often very expensive sometimes prohibitively so. there are multiple reasons for these high prices. anyone with some practice can learn to knit or crochet or sew for themselves. the main thing you're paying for when buying a handmade item like the products offered on this site is the luxury of not having to do it for yourself. I have been practicing these skills for roughly 11 years now and use a pricing structure similar to contractors where I take the cost of materials and multiply them by 4 or more depending on the type of material. this ensures that the cost of materials is covered as well as my time because if I charged a true hourly rate things would be much higher.
